Your Mobile Device Insurance provides coverage for up to $1,000 in the event your mobile device is lost, stolen or accidentally damaged for up to two years following your purchase¹ – at home or while travelling. All you have to do is pay for your mobile device (e.g., mobile phone, smartphone, tablet, smartwatch) using your eligible Aventura® credit card!

Full payment upfront When you charge the full cost of your mobile device to your card and activate your device with a Canadian wireless service provider, if it’s equipped with cellular data technology, you will have coverage for 24 months, beginning on the 91st day following the date of purchase (in order to avoid overlap with the 90 day coverage available to you under Purchase Security & Extended Protection Insurance that already comes with your card).
Partial financing When you finance a portion of the cost of your mobile device through a Canadian wireless service provider’s installment plan, coverage begins on the date the first transaction related to your mobile device is charged to your card, and continues for 24 months, provided you charge your wireless service provider’s installment plan bill payments to your card.
Full financing When you fully finance the cost of your mobile device through a Canadian wireless service provider’s installment plan, coverage begins on the date the first transaction related to your mobile device is charged to your card, and continues for 24 months, provided you charge your wireless service provider’s installment plan bill payments to your card.
